Ravintsara can also be called Eucalyptus Camphor or Eucalyptus Cinnamomum Camphora. Eucalyptus Cinnamomum Camphora is mainly extracted from the leaves of camphor trees in Madagascar. Ravintsara means “the good leaf”, also belongs to laurels and can be called as “Eucalyptus Camphor essential oil（桉油樟精油）” in Chinese.
It grows naturally in the highlands of Madagascar at an altitude of 700 -1000 meters. Although it is under the same species as camphor, the species in Madagascar is different in aroma or composition. Most of the essential oils sold are produced in Madagascar. In the local folklore therapy there, tea liquor is mainly used to cope with various diseases, thus regarded as a panacea for body and soul.
